The annual Kaitiaki o Ara SADD Hui is set to return for its third year to South Canterbury, marking a special milestone as it coincides with the 40th anniversary of Students Against Dangerous Driving.

A new generation of cultural leaders will be inspired this June as students from across the region gather for the upcoming GLAM Careers Event—a hands-on, immersive introduction to career pathways.

Timaru District Council started it’s Majors Taskforce for Jobs programme in August 2024, and since then 17 young people have been placed into full time employment.
